Stormwater BMP maintenance and management services

Solicitation #24-3734-3608. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Monday, August 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) maintenance necessary to restore proper function, as the need arises. The Contractor shall perform routine maintenance to include elements of environmental regulatory agency compliance, monitoring or reporting, and engineering services. Such maintenance practices may include, but are not limited to the following: stormwater management facility maintenance, vegetation management, tree maintenance and removal, debris and obstruction removal, trash and litter clean up, grass/paved channels, retention/detention ponds, constructed wetlands, bio-retention, Filterra, and Focal Point biofiltration maintenance, rip rap outlet protection, bank erosion repair, regrading, topsoil and reseeding, Underground Detention systems and Permeable Pavement repairs within City-maintained facilities, and control structure repair including, but not limited to, corrugated metal and concrete riser, weir, spillway, and gabion basket repair.
