Official description
Solicitation #24-3034-3625. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:45 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide computer equipment leasing. services, to include computers, laptops, servers, and other related equipment as necessary. The Department of Public Utilities (Waterworks) has leased between 230 — 270 computers (estimate) that include desktop computers (210), laptops (32), laptops with docking stations (15), and servers (11). It is expected that these numbers should remain fairly consistent moving forward. It is expected that leases should be for 36, 48, or 60-month terms, and shall be operating leases. This contract will be primarily used by Waterworks, but may be used by other City departments if the need arises.
