Golf course irrigation system design and construction administration

Solicitation #24-3280-6231. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Consultant”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Friday, April 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to establish a contract with a qualified Professional Irrigation Consultant for the design of a new irrigation system for the Newport News Championship Golf Club Course located at Deer Run, 901 Clubhouse Way, Newport News, VA 23608. The Consultant's services shall entail the provision of planning, design and construction administration services related to the City's contemplated improvements and upgrades to the irrigation system, at the Golf Course. Notice: The City, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C.§§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation/advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit proposals in response to this request and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
