Solicitation #24-2474-4708. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Consultant”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Monday, January 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to from qualified, government experienced pubic accounting firms (“Consultant”) whose principal officers are independent Certified Public Accountants, to provide external audit services. The City is required by local, state, and federal laws and regulations to have an independent certified public accountant perform an annual external audit of the financial statements of the City.
