Solicitation #23-3660-3625. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide a comprehensive housing study. The desired outcome of the project is twofold: A comprehensive housing study that include both a snapshot of existing inventory and community demographics, as well as a gap analysis of estimated demand compared to existing housing inventory and anticipated new units. The development of recommendations that includes a detailed strategy for meeting short and long-range housing goals and for meeting needs identified in the gap analysis.
