Official description
Solicitation #23-1892-3056. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Unsealed Request for Proposals (URFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide the City of Newport News with an experienced artist(s) to design and paint a large-scale outdoor mural in the City. The mural will be located on the side of the Full Gospel Kingdom Church at 3114 Washington Ave, Newport News VA 23607. The objective is that the mural will help transform a building in the new Yard District, and that it would reflect what makes Newport News unique and what differentiates the City from other localities in the region.
