Solicitation #22-3404-4725. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide hoteling services for the City of Newport News Department of Human Services (NNDHS) for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. These households consist of those seeking shelter, living unsheltered on the street and who are at high risk of complications from COVID-19. This also includes older adults (60 and older), incapacitated and/or disabled adults (18 years and older) to prevent abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation. The length of time individuals and/or families are sheltered in the motels/hotels will be determined by designated NNDHS program staff.
