Towing and recovery services for city vehicles

Solicitation #22-2472-4725. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide towing and recovery services for class 1-8 vehicles and equipment as needed by various City departments. The Contractor shall be able to provide service seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day, including holidays. Vehicles will be towed from the break down site to a location as directed by the requesting department. The City’s intent is to make multiple awards as may be required to cover towing services for all required classes of vehicles. Contractors who offer the full range of towing services and Contractors who are capable of handling only smaller class vehicles are encouraged to submit proposals..
