Official description
Solicitation #25-1846-0508. Issued by Office of Purchasing. The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking bids from qualified firms (the “Bidder” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and bids will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 3:00 pm (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit bids to furnish/provide grinding services for brush, limbs, logs, and leaves. Upon a reasonable time request, the Contractor shall be responsible for mobilizing all needed equipment to grind brush and raw leaves at the Recovery Operation Center. The material shall be ground to the same specifications as when ground by the City. The Contractor shall be responsible for the segregation of processed mulch from compost from raw materials.
