Public Notice. Agency solicitation #RFB2027-002. Issued by City of Gaithersburg. Category: Tree and shrub seeds and cuttings. The City of Gaithersburg Department of Public Works (DPW) Environmental Services Division (ENV Services) intends to enter into a firm-fixed price, indefinite-quantity, unit-price Contract with two (2) qualified contractors to provide tree planting and related tree maintenance services throughout the City. The Contractors must have experience in City, Federal, State and local municipality laws, regulations and environmental codes. The Contractors must follow all terms and conditions specified in this Solicitation and the resulting Contract. The Contractors must provide qualified, experienced personnel trained in tree installation and management best practices, required certifications, site safety, and urban forestry. The Contractors must provide all necessary management, supervision, personnel, labor tools, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to perform this work. The Contractors shall have the knowledge and the ability to successfully apply urban forestry principles and practices relating to a wide range of forest management best practices, including but not limited to: site preparation, species identification (including invasive species), inspection, soil fertilization, pruning, water maintenance plans, tree health, and documentation.
