Official description
Solicitation #BCP-REC-26. Issued by Recreation. The Town of Hingham, MA ("Town") is accepting sealed bids for the construction of eight (8) new pickleball courts located at the Carlson Field Athletic Complex at Bare Cove Park Drive. The general work will include but is not limited to the removal of existing trees and shrubs, including stump and root removal, re-grading the site and the installation of the eight (8) new pickleball courts, including posts, nets, walkways, benches, shade shelters, fencing, sound attenuation, new asphalt parking lot and ADA pathways. The Contractor will be responsible for installing and/or maintaining the construction fence and erosion control where needed prior to demolition and site prep and throughout the project. Erosion control and construction fence will be in place from the building demolition contractor, coordinate with contractor to either take over the rental of the construction fence or provide new construction fence as required. Erosion control shall remain in place, be repaired or replaced if needed and maintained throughout the project duration.
The Contractor is required to coordinate with the Town and the demolition contractor prior to construction. The demolition contract of Building 12 has been officially awarded by the Town of Hingham Select Board to Pasquazzi Bros, Inc., on September 29, 2026.
Estimated Pickleball Court Construction Cost, $1,300,000.
