NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION BID NO. BDC08-26/27
The Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction is soliciting formal, competitive, sealed bids from Contractors licensed to work in the jurisdiction for the project listed below.
PROJECT NAME: Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park - Maintenance Building Replacement
BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30 pm (ET), Wednesday, October 14th, 2026, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Boulevard, MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000, Attention: Logan Lee-Marple, Bureau of Design and Construction, (on the official posting). (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30 pm (ET), Wednesday, October 21th, 2026, unless extended by the Department for good cause.
INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Friday, September 11th, 2026. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing (on the official posting).
SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to replace the existing maintenance building per the contract documents.
Builder’s Risk is required for this project and must be included in bid price.
Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. To request a pre-qualification letter, the bidder should email (on the official posting). If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid. Pursuant to Executive Order 07-126 and Section 255.252(3), F.S. the Department requires the proposed project be designed and constructed in accordance with green building standards where applicable.
