Reference #OP-EQ-26-017. Department: Maintenance of Way. Description: The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is a Special District within the State of California that owns, maintains, and operates passenger rail service in Sonoma County and Marin County. In addition to passenger rail service, SMART is a common carrier that owns and operates freight rail services within Sonoma County, Marin County, and Napa County.
SMART is seeking Proposals from qualified suppliers to furnish and deliver One (1) New Hi-Rail Bucket Truck to SMART’s Headquarters Office located at 5401 Old Redwood Hwy, Suite 200, Petaluma, CA 94954, provide on-site training to SMART staff, and provide all required operations, safety, training, and warranty documentation.
This vehicle will be used to support SMART’s Maintenance of Way, Signal, Track, and Facilities operations. More specifically, this vehicle will be used for elevated maintenance activities, signal and cantilever work, vegetation management, and general wayside infrastructure maintenance across the SMART right-of-way.
This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the requirements of Public Contract Code §20355.7 for specialized rail transit equipment.
Funding Source: This purchase is funded with a State of California Local Partnership Program (LPP) funds and Local Funds. Supplier shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
