Where these prices come from
The state transportation departments’ lettings (every bidder’s unit price on every item where the department publishes it; the three lowest where it publishes those) and the bid results counties, cities, school districts and authorities publish. An item is counted per state over its newest 12 months, or 24 where 12 hold too few jobs, and is shown from 5 prices on 3 jobs. Prices are shown as bid; a lump sum or an allowance has no unit and is left out. Always confirm with the issuing agency.
