Chambers Bay Golf Course Guest Facilities and Operations

Solicitation #2023-RFP-396. Issued by Procurement and Contract Division. Pierce County is seeking proposals for the design, financing, construction, and operation of guest facilities ancillary to the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington. Development in the ground lease area would include, but not be limited to, a restaurant, pro-shop, and banqueting and meeting space, with the option of including lodging. These facilities would be owned and operated by the respondent. In addition, respondent would manage the County-owned golf course, turn stand, and practice facilities through a companion operations agreement. The County’s vision is a guest services development project that: Is comparable to those found at championship-caliber golf courses; Complements the park and golfing experience at Chambers Bay; Takes advantage of the unique natural qualities of the site; Integrates with other public amenities on the site; Allows for integrated golf and guest facility operations; and Supports the ability of the site to host national golf championships.
