Real property appraisal and review services

Solicitation #2024-RFP-795. Issued by Parks and Recreation. Pierce County Parks and Recreation Services Department is in need of appraisal and review appraisal services to support their real property projects. This solicitation intends to award one or more separate contracts for each type of work (appraisal services and appraisal review services). Parks and Recreation Services Department (Parks) acquires, disposes of, and manages real estate for public use. This includes trails, community centers, recreation parks, and open space acquisitions. Such properties can include, without limitation, fee simple purchases; partial property interests such as temporary or permanent easements, conservation easements, development rights, water rights, mineral rights, and timber rights purchases; leases and residential or commercial rentals; and services that establish just compensation under Washington State eminent domain procedures. The properties to be appraised are within Pierce County and can include private and government holdings in urban and rural settings. Some have timber resources, and a few have direct waterfront access. These may have limiting factors such as wetlands, slopes, or critical areas. These areas are not always delineated but may be identifiable on County GIS.
