CONSTRUCTION INVITATION TO BID ISSUED BY: Department of Buildings & General Services REBID NORTHERN STATE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (NSCF) FIRE PUMP REPLACEMENT ISSUE DATE: August 31, 2026 BIDDERS CONFERENCE: There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at the site on October 01, 2026 at 11:00 AM (EST). QUESTIONS DUE: October 7, 2026 – 4:30 PM (EST) RESPONSES DUE BY: October 14, 2026 – 4:30 PM (EST) Contractors are invited to bid on the REBID Northern State Correctional Facility (NSCF) Fire Pump Replacement Project for Buildings and General Services at 2559 Glen Road in Newport, Vermont. This project consists of, but is not limited to: Scope of work includes the replacement and modification of the existing fire pump system and associated fire protection, electrical, and alarm components as indicated in the construction drawings and technical specifications, including but not limited to: 1. Replacement of the existing electric-driven fire pump with a new unit per drawing and specification. 2. Installation of a new jockey pump and associated components. 3. Demolition and modification of existing piping and equipment as required. 4. Reconfiguration of fire protection piping, valves, flow meter, and sensing lines. 5. Electrical and fire alarm modifications and reconnections. 6. Testing, commissioning, and startup of the fire pump system. 7. Preparation of submittals, closeout documentation, and training of Owner’s personnel. Blueprints, Etc. is the official source of information for documents concerning this Invitation to Bid. QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD: Any vendor requiring clarification of any section of this RFP or wishing to comment or take exception to any requirements of the RFP must submit October 7, 2026. Any comments, questions, or exceptions not raised in writing on or before the last day of the question period are waived.
