Pump rental services for dewatering projects

Solicitation #IFB-8600-0-2021/MS- Pump Rental Services. Issued by Purchasing. The City of Norfolk (the “City”) is seeking responsible contractors to provide Pump Rental Services according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this Invitation for Bids (“IFB”). The agreement resulting from this IFB shall be for a five (5) year period. The agreement resulting from this IFB will be awarded to a Primary and a Secondary Contractor. The Primary Contractor will be responsible for performing all tasks specified herein and will be the primary contractor for Pump Rental Services. The Secondary Contractor may be engaged in the following situations: a. If the Primary Contractor is unable to provide rental services of equipment for the primary use of dewatering and related projects within the timeframe specified by the City; b. If the City deems the proposal submitted by the Primary Contractor for rental services of equipment unreasonable in regard to price, timeframe or scope of services proposed; or c. To obtain more competitive pricing for larger assignments. The City retains the right to request proposals for rental services of equipment from both the Primary and the Secondary Contractor and award the project to the contractor that offers the lowest price and an acceptable solution, or to obtain services for work covered in this solicitation separately. All qualified bidders are invited to respond to this IFB by submitting a bid consistent with the terms, conditions, and specifications stated herein.
