Water and sewer main replacement with roadway restoration

Solicitation #WC PS 150 Ph 7 W & S. Issued by Utilities. The Work under this Project consists of the installation of approximately 4,514 linear feet of water main along Newport Avenue, Warren Street, Marcy Street, Remsen Street, Ralph Street, Harvard Street, and Midfield Street as well as the replacement of 40 water service lines from the new mains to the right-of-way. This project also includes the replacement of approximately 2,700 linear feet of sanitary sewer located along Newport Avenue, Warren Street, Marcy Street, and Remsen Street as well as the replacement of 41 sewer laterals and clean outs. Where utility infrastructure is proposed, full-depth roadway replacement will occur in Newport Avenue, Warren Street, Marcy Street, Remsen Street, Ralph Street, and Harvard Street. In Midfield Street mill and overlay is proposed after the utility trench has been temporarily restored. Any curb, gutter, sidewalk, and valley gutter affected by the work will be restored. Approximately 4,200 linear feet of existing water lines and 2,800 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer will be abandoned in place. ADA handicap ramps will be installed where work occurs in the respective intersection and existing curb ramps are not up to current standards.
