Custodial services at city facilities

Solicitation #9466-0-2022/LW. Issued by Purchasing. The City of Norfolk (the “City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified custodial services firms (the “Contractor”) to enter into a contract to provide quality, professional custodial and housekeeping services in a variety of facilities in the City. The appearance of City facilities is a major factor on the attitude and morale of tenants and visitors. The custodial services program must maintain City facilities in a manner that not only appears clean and polished, but also provides a clean, healthy atmosphere, and an excellent working environment for building occupants and citizens. To maximize competition and create opportunities for the small, women-, minority-owned (SWaM) and micro business communities, the City has debundled its janitorial services contract into eight (8) different related contracting opportunities under three separate solicitations: This solicitation, RFP 9466-0-2022/LW, which will be awarded exclusively to certified women- and/or minority-owned businesses (resulting in 3 contracts). Please refer to Attachment L, N, ad P for facility listing information.

RFP 9465-0-2022/AB is open to general competition (resulting in 2 contracts).

RFP 9447-0-2022/JM which will be awarded exclusively to certified women- and/or minority-owned micro businesses (resulting in 3 contracts).

Firms will be considered for award in only one Request for Proposal and only one category of contract (i.e. only one of eight contracts), please choose the contract opportunity that best fits your business and submit a proposal for the appropriate RFP.
