Prequalification for demolition services

Solicitation #RFQ 8272-0-2022/MF. Issued by Purchasing. The intent of this Request for Qualification is to pre-qualify demolition contractors to provide demolition work on residential and commercial properties located in the City of Norfolk. Contractors deemed to be qualified under this Request for Qualifications will be placed on the City of Norfolk’s (the “City”) prequalified contractors list. There is no guarantee of work as a result of being placed on the City's prequalified contractors list. Prequalified contractors will receive requests for quotes from the Department of Neighborhood Services (the “Department”) once the City completes the specifications for the work to be completed; each solicitation will include property addresses, specifications and, other specifics relating to demolition of properties. Pursuant to Norfolk City Code Section 33.1-11, the City reserves the right to issue requests for quotes to only certified SWaM vendors for demolition work on City owned properties. The City reserves the right to issue solicitations to vendors that are not on the prequalified contractors’ list for demolition projects where it is determined to be in the City’s best interest to do so.
