Description: The City of Lubbock (COL) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for providing professional services associated with the City of Lubbock Wastewater Land Application Sites, The required services include implementing, updating, and operating on a day to day basis the water and nitrogen balance model for the Lubbock Land Application Site and the Hancock Land Application Site as required in the TCEQ wastewater permit to help ensure that land application and farming activities do not add additional nitrates to the groundwater. This balance model is created to ensure that the high nitrate wastewater is balanced with the uptake of the land application site’s crops so that nitrates are not leached into the groundwater.
