Issued by South Hills Area Council of Governments, Allegheny County. South Hills Area Council of Governments HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that bid specifications and tabulation sheets related to the 2026 Fall Commodities Bid may be obtained through the PennBid electronic bidding platform (pennbid.net) beginning September 3, 2026. Bids for the 2026 Fall Commodities will be received by the SHACOG Purchasing Alliance until 10:00 a.m on Friday, September 25, 2026 via the PennBid electronic bidding platform (pennbid.net) for the following commodities:
1. Bagged Rock Salt 2. Bagged Snow and Ice Melt 3. Calcium Chloride 4. Enhanced Deicing Salt 5. Gasoline and Diesel Fuel 6. Grass Seed 7. Infield Conditioner 8. Liquid Calcium Chloride 9. Liquid Magnesium Chloride 10. Lubricants (Motor Oil, Diesel Oil, etc.) 11. Pesticides 12. Pre-Mixed Salt Brine 13. Snow Plow Blades and Cutting Edges 14. Traffic Paint and Thinner
Directions for vendors on how to register for the PennBid platform is available by visiting https://pennbid.net/vendor-bidder-information/. Questions regarding the listed commodities shall be submitted via the “Ask a Question” feature within PennBid.
Bidders are invited to submit proposals on any or all commodities. Unless stated otherwise, EACH BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND in the amount of ONE THOUSAND ($1,000.00) DOLLARS and made payable to “SHACOG Purchasing Alliance and Its Participating Municipalities.”
The governing bodies of the member municipalities reserve the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any minor discrepancies in the bid or specifications when deemed to be in the best interest of the municipality. Project closes Sep 25, 2026 10:00 AM EDT.
