Yard waste grinding and removal services

Issued by Kennett Township, Chester County. Kennett Township provides a woody debris yard waste drop off facility for its residents. Contents primarily consist of woody debris such as tree branches, tree trunks less than 18" in diameter, Christmas trees, leaves, and grass clippings. The public works department generally removes non-compliant materials, but no assurance is provided that non-compliant materials may be encountered within the pile. If the contractor encounters non-compliant materials, the materials may be set aside for disposal by the Township. The yard waste facility is located adjacent to the Public Works facility located at 557 Bayard Road, Kennett Square, PA

In the past, we have had a company come onsite, grind and haul away the material. We are open to onsite or offsite options, if you prefer to haul away before grinding. The contractor will have 60 calendar days to remove and dispose of the contents of the pile. See the attached documents for a full description of the project.

This is a lump sum bid and shall include all labor, supervision, equipment, material, fuel, lubricants, mobilization/demobilization, overhead and insurance costs. While not expected, if all quotes exceed the state mandated threshold for formal bidding all quotes will be rejected and the project will be re-advertised to comply with the state mandated requirements that are imposed on such projects.
