IFB: Invitation for Bid. Agency solicitation #T-1615-0150. Issued by Maryland Transit Administration. Category: Power Generation and Distribution Machinery and Accessories. This Contract is for the replacement of existing transformers, Automatic transfer switches (ATS) and Manual transfer switches (MTS), switchboards, and panelboards and for the reconfiguration of power distribution in the Train Control and Communication rooms at seven (7) Metro Stations, Blowdown Pit, Yard Tower, and Portal. The work involves: Contractor shall preform a site survey to provide a Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Final Design Review (FDR), Installation, and Site Layout plans. Contractor shall size conductors and raceways to reflect field conditions, determine breaker sizes, and all other related project elements. Contractor shall finalize the design for each location based on Specifications and plans. Contractor has to verify all the components and perform measurements to reflect existing room conditions. PDR and FDR shall be submitted to the Engineer for review and approval prior to any product and material purchase. Products and Materials: furnish and install, unless otherwise specifically identified in the Material List, all materials, implements, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, and temporary utilities necessary for the execution and completion of the work. Installation of infrastructure, including conduits, common hardware, rack mounts, conduit fittings, junction boxes, pull boxes, and other miscellaneous materials as required to complete the work. Removal of existing wiring and cables, switchboards, panel boards, etc. installation of new wiring as part of the circuit modifications. Installation of wire tags on each end of all new and relocated wires. Installation of Identification tags and labels on all new switches, transformers, terminal boards, fuses, circuit breakers, cables, switchboards, panel boards, etc. Integration of new ATSs and existing Manual Tie Switches with the MTA's Automatic Train Supervision System for remote monitoring and integration of alarms into MTA's new Automatic Train Supervision System via existing station interfaces (PLCs). Disposal of demolished and removed materials. As-built drawings: Final drawings to reflect As-Built Conditions. Manuals, training, aids, and spare parts. Commissioning and Acceptance testing of all installed components and systems/subsystems: On-site support; warranty; quality assurance and quality control; construction and as-built drawings; and final project documentation.
