Official description
Solicitation #26-442. Issued by Division of Planning & Permitting. The Frederick County Planning and Permitting Division has been awarded a Certified Local Government grant through the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC) to conduct a Compatible Use Study (CUS) and Military Installation Readiness Review (MIRR). This project will assess land use compatibility, infrastructure vulnerabilities, and emergency preparedness to support Fort Detrick’s long-term operational readiness and regional resilience. Fort Detrick is a vital national security and biomedical research installation. The installation and surrounding communities face challenges from urban encroachment, traffic congestion, and stressed infrastructure.
