Licensed childcare and before/after school care programs

Solicitation #24-031. Issued by CS - Community Services. The County Commissioners of Charles County are hereby requesting proposals from qualified contractors for the operation of a licensed year-round childcare program at the Charles County Government, Department of Community Services building, located at 8190 Port Tobacco Road in Port Tobacco, Maryland (Port Tobacco Center) and a licensed Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) program in the County’s Elementary Schools. The Contractor will operate in accordance with Regulations for Group Day Care Centers as guidance for the provisions of care and will work with the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care Licensing and Regulation to ensure that all licensing requirements are satisfactorily met. Minimum and maximum enrollment at each site is determined by the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care Licensing and Regulation in consultation with the Charles County Department of Community Services. The Contractor will provide services that meets and exceeds licensing standards, provide exceptional customer service and quality child care service at the lowest possible cost to participants. The Contractor must accept purchase of care vouchers from government agencies.
