Official description

Solicitation #25-008. Issued by DPW Utilities - Capital Services. The County Commissioners of Charles County are seeking bids from qualified contractors for the design and construction of a 2 million gallon composite water tower to keep up with the system demands in Waldorf’s Development District, in Charles County Maryland. The proposed site for the water tower is approximately 3.28 acres located just north of Billingsley Road and Piney Church Road. A location map showing the project’s location in the County and a vicinity map showing the approximate limits of the project are shown in the Appendices . The basis of this contract shall be “lump sum” concepts for both the design and construct of the water tower and construct the offsite and onsite improvements. The purpose of this design/build project is to provide a new water tower within the time frame to meet the necessary system demands. The selected Contractor will be required to review the feasibility study and site plans performed by CNA dated July 2010.
