Reference #RFP 26-05-586. Description: IPTC is requesting proposals from qualified security firms to provide mobile, front-office, fare inspection, and walking patrol services across the IPTC service area. IPTC’s areas requiring continuous security coverage are: A. West Campus Administrative Building – 1501 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN B. Julia M. Carson Customer Transit Center (CTC) – 201 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN C. East Campus Administrative Building – 9503 E. 33rd Street, Indianapolis, IN D. West Michigan Building – 2425 W. Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN E. Mobility Services – 9350 E 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN The West Campus, Julia M. Carson CTC, and East Campus require seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day, three hundred sixty-five (365) days per year. The West Michigan building requires variable coverage as further detailed in the Statement of Work.
IPTC’s transit network includes approximately 2,350 passenger bus stops (approximately 204 of which have shelters), 88 BRT platforms, and three (3) Superstop platforms. The fleet consists of approximately 200 fixed-route ADA-accessible buses and approximately 82 paratransit vehicles. As part of this contract, unarmed Fare Inspection Officers (FIOs) will be assigned to monitor fare compliance on the BRT system, and Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) will be assigned to monitor BRT traffic lanes, platforms, the CTC, and fixed route bus routes and stops.
