Welding Services

Solicitation #2026-IFB-131. Issued by Public Works - Solid Waste Division. The Solid Waste Division of the Wicomico County Public Works Department is seeking both on and off-site welding and fabricating services. The Successful Vendor will be required to provide all labor and equipment necessary to complete the Work to the County’s satisfaction. The welder will supply all rods, grinding wheels, gas / oxygen, and anything else he will use welding and cutting. The County will supply all steel plates, any tubing, bolts, nuts, and like materials. Price is for an individual welder per hour. If a second welder is required to assist with the project, the hourly rate for the additional welder will be discussed and agreed upon prior to work being performed. If a county helper is needed to operate equipment or assist on a welding job, one will be provided with 24 notice to a supervisor. The County will not pay for travel time. Successful Vendor will provide the County, on each project, an estimate of time for project completion, must sign in and out with office staff for every visit, and work must be continuous, unless County agrees more time or another visit is required All request/work orders must be signed off by Superintendent or Deputy Director and approved. Invoicing/work orders should be turned in once job/request is complete.
