Project work includes the request of securing a Consultant to support the WSSC's drinking water contamination preparedness, surveillance, and response programs under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA’s) Surveillance and Response System (SRS) framework. The consultant will provide technical expertise to review and enhance the WSSC's current surveillance and response systems, including online water quality monitoring, customer complaint surveillance, laboratory confirmation capabilities, and consequence management procedures. Services will include contaminant prioritization and risk assessment, evaluation and recommendation of monitoring technologies and instrumentation, development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support for training and preparedness exercises for the Contamination Rapid Response Team.
